There isn't a zip code for Surf City, USA. It's a destination of dreams. A vision of beaches, palm trees, blue skies, Baywatch life guards, and surfers.
It is also a place where self-driven, athletic-centered people... aka Runners... collide to run a marathon....26.2 miles (or half of that respectively), starting in Huntington Beach... aka Surf City USA. (and yes, Baywatch town)
I have arrived in Surf City USA to work. Work our Running Skirts expo. And hope maybe a little magic will happen, like miraculously receive a race bib.I will report back after race day... Because if I get a lucky bib, it will be my first race of 2011.
